You and I Both.

You’re probably wondering why the moniker “Thegloryofaboy”. At a quick glance one might read it as “gloryoflittleboys” but it has nothing to do with pedophilia and has a lot to do with plagiarism. It’s taken from a song called, “You and I Both” by Jason Mraz. I am sure you know Jason Mraz from his hit song “I’m Yours”. Most people will disagree when I say “You and I Both” is a better song however, most people will also pick their nose and eat it. Are you going to side with the booger eaters? Wouldn’t that just make you a booger eater too? I think if you’re looking to avoid exposing yourself as a booger eater you’ll side with ME. You and I both #1!!

The reason I find “You and I both” such an endearing song is because it’s written and sung from such a positive perspective. It took me two or three listens before I realized it’s a BREAK-UP song! To be able to see things in such a positive light after someone you really care about has kicked you to the curb is really inspiring. There’s absolutely no mention of killing her pets or leaving a burning bag of poop on her doorstep. Respect Jason, respect. For the first time in my life I was actually inspired by a song. When has a song ever inspired you? There was one point in time where the radio would play “Lollipop” by Lil Wayne every three minutes but, I was never compelled to go lick someone’s “Lollipop” but, when I listened to “You and I Both” I thought damn, I really want to “You and I Both”. I CAN BE THAT GUY THAT GOT DUMPED!!! I want to be able to take a situation that would normally wreck somebody, and make it something glorious. Which leads us to the next question “Huy, there’s 325 words in that song why those five?” To answer this I’ll have to pull that portion of the verse from the song:

“Not so little you and I anymore, mmm...

And with this silence brings a moral story

More importantly evolving is the glory of a boy”

The glory of a boy is adapting, being triumphant in that adaptation, and growing from that experience.

You should really check out the rest of the lyrics it’s all great!! I think we need more inspiring music like this! I listen to a lot of r&b and it’s become bragging about how pro you are at sex or how good you are at making your booty bounce. Damn can you be anymore insecure? I’d be more impressed if people sang about how many lives they’ve changed with their notoriety (not through sex) or even sing about how quickly they’ve solved a rubix cube.

Hello.

Hi Blogging World!

My name is Huy, I am quite peculiar and that’s why I’ve turned to the anonymity of the internet to express myself. Hmmm kinda defeats the purpose of being anonymous when I just gave you my name doesn’t it? I wanted my first blog to be an Inception like blog that would blow your mind! It would make you think, and keep you guessing. You’d want to read it twice because the first time you read it you may have missed something. You’d want to read it twice because the first time you read it you may have missed something. Hahhaa did I just trip you out? You just read that twice sucka.

The fact that you’re still reading this I can infer two things:

1. You like words

2. You’re bored.

No need to look under your bed I am not stalking you. Deduction is just one of my many ninja skills. I can say with 34% accuracy that I am one of the coolest people you’ll ever meet, and judging by my inferences I can tell we have so much in common already! I often wonder if the basis of a good relationship starts with a lot of commonalities. They say “you’re only as good as the company you keep.” That’s so true! All the fake wannabe asian gangsta somehow find others just like them. Damnit, did I just give away that I am Vietnamese? Man this blogging stuff is like truth serum for me.

No need to worry you’re in good company.
