They tell you that the best things in life are free. What they fail to mention is that the shitty things in life come free too. It’s funny how joyful people get when they hear the word free. The clouds part, a ray of sun light pierces through and flowers rain from the sky type of joy. My dad being of these people would bring home all this useless crap causes it’s “free”.
Ba: check out all these free things I got!
Me: Ba oi, it’s dog food….we don’t have a dog
Ba: Who cares it’s free! Aren’t you year of the dog?
Me:*thinking* I am eating dog food tonight aren’t I?...
I can’t deny the allure of free sadly, “free” is merely conceptual because NOTHING you’ll receive in your life time will be free. Take a deep breathe. You’ve just taken oxygen, and turned it into carbon dioxide you jerk. The cost to you and everyone else is an environment with more carbon dioxide. I know its minuscule but, I am just trying to illustrate that even the air you breathe comes at a cost. Don’t you notice that whenever someone is offering you something for free there’s always a catch? With no exception even the “best things” come with crazy transparent microfibre strings attached so, that even the keenest of eyes would not detect. I think we should all accept that everything comes at a cost so, that we’ll be less susceptible to these rapscallions! Be wary when someone offers you something for free because you already know they are a liar.
